Speaking of mega-luxurious gyms, The Gym is so pretty that you’ll forget you’re there to work out. It’s honestly worth a visit just to admire – think: plush velvet sofas, bold black-and-white prints, and showers paved with gold tiles. The breathtaking views of Burj Khalifa are an added bonus.
Aesthetics aside, this is also a seriously impressive gym thanks to its top-notch PTs and state-of-the-art facilities. Each machine was custom-made for the space, and cardio equipment with built-in interactive entertainment allows you to surf the web or watch Netflix while you’re working out (making the treadmill almost bearable). Plus, you have The Muscle Bar to look forward to, a cool and cozy space that serves up post-workout shakes and healthy lunches made by the “Chief Beverage Officer”. It features a lounge area complete with a huge plasma screen and Apple TV, so you can cozy up under a blanket for a post-workout nap or just catch up on your favorite show with your shake. Sold.

Max & Aegle
Despite only opening a few months ago, Meydan’s mega new fitness center Max & Aegle has taken Dubai’s fitness scene by storm. Covering a whopping 500,000 square feet, it has everything you could possibly want from a topnotch gym. Olympic-sized swimming pool? Check. 1,400-meter running track? Check. Yoga lawn with Downtown skyline view? Of course. You can choose to work out indoors or outdoors, and you’ll never feel crammed for space. That’s because, despite being big enough to accommodate up to 5,000 guests, Max & Aegle limits numbers to 2,000 members only.
Inside, you’ll find five specialized indoor training zones that range from conditioning stations to cross-training, functional training, and even martial arts. On top of that, there are countless exercise classes to choose from, with ladies-only options and dedicated kids’ classes.
Memberships include a Fit3D Body Scan, a one-month nutrition plan, and a health assessment. To top things off, there’s also a juice bar and restaurant on site, called 100&Ten, that serves up healthy snacks and light bites.

The idea that working out shouldn’t break the bank is exactly what is fueling Gymnation, a relatively new concept that is revolutionizing Dubai’s fitness scene. Dubbed “the people’s gym”, it offers memberships for as little as AED 159 per month, and you can pay monthly with no binding contract. The 45,000-square-foot space feels cool and modern with an urban, industrial edge, and it’s home to a spinning studio, a treadmill room, a boxing ring, a free-weights area, and three separate studios for classes.
Gymnation also offers over 200 free classes per month, is fitted with 500 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment, boasts a separate ladies-only gym and studio, and is open 24/7. To top it off, you can also choose to work out via the on-demand virtual-reality classes, whereby you can select any class, time, and workout and follow the guidance of an instructor on screen. Welcome to the future of fitness.
Al Quoz & Bur Dubai
Sleek, chic, and oh-so-stylish, Seven could be mistaken for a boutique hotel – if it wasn’t for all the gym gear, of course. Its contemporary style and color palette are inspired by modern design and art, creating a luxurious environment that makes you actually want to work out. But of course, we’re not just here for the dreamy décor – we’re here for the high-end gym equipment, amazing array of classes (TRX, boxing, HIIT, power yoga, and dance included), and private workout studios. Uphill sprints with views out across the Burj Al Arab? Yup, included too.
If all that wasn’t enough, how about the fact there’s an in-house hammam and steam rooms, an on-site Circle Café, physio and cryotherapy specialists, and a barber to tend to men’s grooming needs? This is a gym, and then some.
