There’s no better way to start a productive day than with a delicious smoothie – perfect for a leisurely breakfast or if you’re on the go. This is one of my favorite go-to recipes as it’s a great energy booster and the ingredients boast some excellent health benefits.

Adding chia seeds and baobab powder not only gives you that nutritional boost we all need on a daily basis, but it also brings about some other amazing benefits – promoting healthy skin, reducing signs of aging, supporting the heart and digestive system, and building stronger bones and muscles. Baobab powder contains a variety of vitamins and minerals as well as plenty of iron. It is super high in vitamin C and has double the amount of calcium that is found in milk. It’s great for releasing energy throughout the day and is very beneficial for your skin and immune system. As for chia seeds, they’re the perfect carb as they’re very high in protein and fiber.

Finally, berries are a great source of antioxidants, while the cashew milk provides even more skin benefits as it’s full of zinc. It’s also a delicious substitute for cow’s milk.

The Recipe

1 cup strawberries
1 cup raspberries
1 tbsp chia seeds
½ frozen banana
1 tsp baobab powder
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp rolled oats
1 cup cashew milk

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Finish by adding your favorite toppings, such as dragon fruit and pomegranate seeds.
